Marketplace
How the Marketplace works
The Marketplace is where players trade with each other, always for $AFKHERO. Open Market and use the tabs along the top.
| Tab | What you do there |
|---|---|
| Materials | Buy and sell crafting materials, Elemental Stones, Pickaxe Crates, Ancient chests and keys, Boss Keys and other consumables, by quantity |
| Gear | Browse weapons, armor, accessories, pets, cosmetics and pickaxes, compare them with your own, buy and make offers |
| Cards | Buy Holo, Gold and Prismatic cards for your binder, by quantity, and sell your spare copies |
| Sell | List anything you own |
| My Listings | Manage your listings, offers, sales and purchases |
| Activity | See recent sales across the market |
| Featured | The paid showcase and the queue behind it |
| Auction | Bid auctions and raffles |
Who can trade
- You need a hero pack to buy, bid, make offers or sell. Without one you can still browse.
- After you make a withdrawal, the Marketplace is locked for 6 hours. You cannot list, buy, reprice, make or accept offers, place Featured bids, or open or join auctions. Ancient chest trading follows the same lock. You can always delist your own items, withdraw or decline offers, and cancel an auction nobody has joined.
- You cannot buy from an account linked to yours, for example one signed in from the same browser.
- Soulbound items cannot be listed. Neither can a few special items, such as the Elemental Remove Stone. Some name tags are not tradeable either.
Fees and staking discounts
The seller pays the sale fee when an item sells and the listing fee when posting. Buyers pay the listed price and nothing on top, except in bid auctions (see below). Staking lowers both fees:
| Stake tier (total staked) | Sale fee | Listing fee |
|---|---|---|
| No stake or Iron (100,000) | 10% | 100 |
| Bronze (500,000) | 7.5% | 100 |
| Silver (1,500,000) | 5% | 100 |
| Gold (5,000,000) | 5% | none |
| Diamond (15,000,000) | none | none |
| Vault (50,000,000) | none | none |
The Sell form always shows the fee that applies to your account and what you receive if the item sells.
Price floors
A listing cannot go below its minimum price. Floors are minimums, not valuations: check recent sales before you price or buy. Auctions and raffles have no price floor.
| What | Minimum price |
|---|---|
| Common, Uncommon and Rare gear, pets and cosmetics | 200 |
| Epic gear, pets and cosmetics | 250 |
| Legendary gear, pets and cosmetics | 500 |
| Mythic gear, pets and cosmetics | 900 |
| Cosmic gear, pets and cosmetics, and name tags | 2,250 |
| Divine gear, pets and cosmetics | 7,500 |
| Celestial gear, pets and cosmetics | 18,750 |
| Titan gear | 25,000 |
| Angel gear | 37,500 |
| God gear | 75,000 |
| Pickaxes | The same as gear of that rarity |
| Pickaxe Crate | 1,000 each |
| Boss Keys and other consumables | 25% of the Store price, per unit |
| Angel Stone | 7,500 each |
| Eye of God | 18,750 each |
| Titan Dust | 1,000 each |
| Heart of Titan | 7,500 each |
| Universal Gear Blueprint | 750 each |
| Star, Moon and Sun Dust, any grade | 75 each |
| Scrap Metal | 1 each |
| Card Dust | 1 each |
| Elemental Stones and all other materials | 10 each |
The highest price you can set on one listing is 1,000,000,000 $AFKHERO.
Selling
- Open the Sell tab, choose a category (Gear, which includes pets and cosmetic skins, then Materials, Chests, Consumables, Name tags or Pickaxes), pick the item and set your price.
- Gear, pets, cosmetics and pickaxes are listed one item at a time. Select many lists several gear items at once at one shared price per item, and the highest floor in your selection applies.
- Stacks (materials, crates, chests, consumables) are listed with a quantity and a price per unit. A single listing holds up to 99 consumables or 100 crates.
- The price guide shows what similar items sold for recently. Match lowest and Use median fill in the price for you, never below the floor.
- While an item is listed it is held for the sale. It is always in exactly one place: equipped, in your bag, or listed.
- Reprice or delist any time from My Listings. Delist all returns everything at once, and anything that does not fit in your bag goes to your Mailbox.
- You can have 50 active listings at once, every kind counted together. Each Market Listings +10 from the Store adds 10 more, up to 200. The On the board box in My Listings shows how many you have.
Listing expiry and Auto-relist
A listing lasts 24 hours. If it does not sell, the item returns to your bag, or to your Mailbox if your bag is full. There is no notice when a listing expires.
Auto-relist keeps unsold listings on the board:
- Tick Auto-relist above your active listings. Every listing is ticked, and you can untick the ones you would rather get back.
- A ticked listing that goes unsold for 24 hours is listed again instead of coming back to you. It keeps its price and counts as newly listed.
- Each renewal costs the listing fee (none for Gold and above), with no limit on renewals.
- If your balance cannot cover the fee, that listing returns to you as usual.
- A listing with an active Featured placement does not expire while its display time runs.
Buying on the Gear tab
- Search by name and use the categories: Weapons, Armor, Accessories, Pets, Cosmetics (skins and name tags) and Pickaxes. Filter by rarity, upgrade level, item level range and what your hero can use.
- Sort by Newest, Price, Price with the strongest first, Rarity, Power, or Best rolls (items with the most 100% stats first). Pickaxes also sort by each of their four stats.
- Every gear stat shows its Roll %, so a 100% roll stands out.
- Open a listing to compare it with what you wear, see recent prices, and buy or make an offer. Your own listings carry a Your listing tag and cannot be bought.
- Purchases go to your bag, or to your Mailbox if your bag is full.
Buying by quantity on the Materials tab
Categories: All materials, Fragments, Elemental Stones, Seal Dust, Scrap, Special (Angel Stone, Eye of God, Angel Dust, Universe Dust, Titan Dust, Heart of Titan, Card Dust and blueprints), Chests (Ancient chests, keys, key fragments and Pickaxe Crates), Consumables (Boss Keys, talismans, boosts and class changes), and the Gold swap. The Gold swap is explained in Economy & Wallet.
- Type a quantity or tap a preset: 100, 500 or 1,000 for materials; 1, 5 or 10 for chests, crates and consumables; 1, 5 or 25 for Elemental Stones. Max affordable buys the most your balance covers.
- Your order fills from the cheapest listings first, so you never have to buy a whole stack. When several listings share a price, the turns rotate between sellers.
- A quantity buy appears as one sale in Activity.
- You can hold up to 999 Boss Keys. An order that would take you past that is refused.
Elemental Stones on the Marketplace
Elemental Stones (Ice, Fire and Lightning, tiers I to V) have their own category in the Materials tab. They are bought and sold by quantity like other materials, from 10 $AFKHERO each. The Elemental Remove Stone, which you buy in the Store, cannot be traded.
Offers
You can offer less than the asking price on gear, pets, cosmetics and pickaxes. Open a listing on the Gear tab and use Make an offer. Offers are not available on stacks, chests, consumables or name tags.
- The held amount comes back in full if the seller declines, you withdraw, the offer runs out, or the listing is sold or taken off the market.
- If the seller accepts, the item sells at your offer price and the seller pays the usual sale fee.
- Sellers see offers in My Listings → Offers. Accepting sells on the spot, because the buyer's money is already held.
- Auto-accept offers (in the same place) sells the moment an offer arrives. Choose All offers, or only offers of 60%, 70%, 80% or 90% of your price or more. The game asks you to confirm, and turning it on also accepts the best open offer on each listing. A sale cannot be undone.
Market notices
The bell next to your Mailbox shows new offers on your items, offers that were accepted, declined or ran out, sales, being outbid, and auction and raffle results. A short pop-up appears when something happens. Tap a notice to jump straight to it.
Featured listings
Featured shows a listing in the showcase at the top of the Gear tab. The Featured tab shows the whole showcase, the queue behind it, and your own promotions.
- Display time only runs while a placement is in the showcase. Queued placements wait with their time paused, and the next one goes live as soon as a place opens.
- The bid is spent when you place it and is never refunded, even if the item sells straight away.
- You can raise the rate later and pay only the difference. You cannot add time.
- A featured listing does not expire while its placement is open. Delisting it ends the placement, and the unused display time is lost.
- To feature an auction, open it in the Auction tab and press Feature this auction. Choose a display time that ends before the auction does.
Auctions and raffles
Open the Auction tab to bid or to start your own. Gear, pets, cosmetics, pickaxes and stacks of Eye of God, Universe Dust, Angel Dust or Angel Stone can be auctioned. For a stack you choose how many, and the winner gets them all.
| Detail | Bid auction | Raffle |
|---|---|---|
| Length | 6, 12 or 24 hours, your choice | 24 hours |
| Price | Your start price is the reserve | Tickets cost 500 $AFKHERO each |
| Winner | The highest bid | One ticket, drawn from all tickets sold |
| Buyer pays | The bid plus a 5% buyer premium | The tickets they bought |
| Seller receives | The winning bid minus the sale fee | 70% of ticket sales, with no separate fee |
| If it fails | With no bids, the item returns to you | Below the minimum, every ticket is refunded and the item returns |
Bidding
- Each bid must be at least 5% above the current bid. The first bid must meet the start price. There is no buyout.
- Your bid plus the 5% premium is held from your balance. If someone outbids you, all of it comes back at once. A bid cannot be withdrawn.
- A bid in the last 2 minutes extends the end to 2 minutes after that bid, so nobody wins with a last-second bid.
Raffles
- The seller sets the minimum number of tickets, from 1 upward. The form suggests 70. With a low minimum, the item can go for very little.
- You can buy many tickets at once, up to 10,000 in one purchase. Tickets cannot be returned, unless the minimum is missed.
- Open a raffle to see its ten biggest ticket holders, shown by number and never by name, and your own ticket numbers.
Starting one
- Opening costs 1,000 $AFKHERO, which includes the listing fee, and is never refunded.
- You can cancel only before the first bid or ticket. Up to 5 can be open at a time.
- The item leaves your bag when you start. It comes back only if nobody bids, the raffle misses its minimum, or you cancel before anyone joins.
- Every auction and raffle gets a live card in the in-game-auctions channel on our Discord. It updates as bids and tickets come in, and the result is posted when it ends.
Seller shops
Every seller has a shop page: everything they sell, what fits your hero and beats your gear, good deals, and what they sold lately. Open any listing and press Visit shop, or open My Listings and press View my shop to see and share yours. Your shop link brings new players in with your invite.
Post to Discord and Copy as image
- Post to Discord (My Listings) puts your listings on one card in the #want-to-sell channel: each item with its power and price, up to 50 listings. Your cheapest extra listings stay off the card but are all in your shop.
- The card mentions you, so buyers can message you. You can turn the mention off before you post.
- Items that sell are crossed out and the card updates itself for 48 hours. You can post one new card per hour.
- If your Discord is not linked, the game asks you to link it first.
- If the Post to Discord button is not shown to you, Copy as image takes its place: a picture of everything you are selling, grouped by type with prices, to paste into #want-to-sell (#wts) yourself.
