Your hero fights while the game is open. When you close it, the server pays for your time away from its own clock: the first 15 minutes for everyone, and up to 8 hours per absence once your Earning Boost is at 100%.
Yes. Power multiplies your share of the reward pool on a logarithmic curve — every 10× of Power adds +1 to the multiplier, capped at 6×. Zone depth multiplies on top, so the best return is to gear up and push deeper. See How Earning Works.
Being paid for a long time away needs a 100% Earning Boost; below it, each absence pays only the first 15 minutes, no matter how long you were gone. The usual cause is a withdrawal: it clears the 17% "24h no withdraw" task, and if it drops your balance under 200,000 it clears the 20% "Hold 200K" task too. Either one takes you off 100%. Once you own a Starter Pack and your hero is level 10. Withdrawals go to your own wallet; the 5% fee, the 30,000 minimum, the 500,000 per-withdrawal and 1,000,000 daily caps and the 6-hour cooldown are all shown in the Wallet before you confirm.

No. The game is server-authoritative — the client can't change balances, drops or rewards. Tampering does nothing.
No. One account per person. Alt/multiple accounts are a permanent ban with all funds forfeited — don't risk your main account.
Yes, you can play with a VPN. The one account per person rule still applies, with or without a VPN. If many players share your VPN server, making a new hero there can hit the daily limit for new accounts on one network: try again later or pick another server.
